Have you heard about TweenTribune? This is a great website to get students involved in current events that are relevant to them and/or a particular category. As a teacher, you can create an account with one or multiple classes (if you wish). Students are also able to create accounts and join your class. Once accounts are created, let the fun and engagement begin! Students are able to post comments and join the discussion with students from around the country. A very powerful tool for teaching a multitude of skills!
